Capturing a taste of tradition through design



Background

Galaxy Rice Mills have been a long standing client of mine with a number of different design services done for them since 2009. One of my first clients as a designer I’ve worked with them providing print and packaging services for their different products. Dating back to 1974 the brand changed its identity in 1992 from then Doaba Rice Mills to Galaxy approaching a modern global audience. Situated in the heartlands of Gujranwala in Pakistan, their rice products are distributed both locally and internationally and though they cater to mostly industrial scale production, since 2009 they’ve expanded into consumer products requiring a fresh design language.


Challenges
